Unsurpassed Broad-Spectrum Weed Control
Sugarbeets are especially susceptible to weed competition, which can severely impact both yield and sugar content. Genuity™ Roundup Ready® sugarbeets provide the many benefits of the Roundup Ready system, including:
- Broad-spectrum weed control.
- Excellent control of key weeds that plague sugarbeets and can compete with the crop for nutrients, soil moisture and light.
- Proven crop safety when Roundup® brand agricultural herbicides are applied over the top.
- Simple, flexible and dependable thus increasing farming efficiency and profitability.
- Reduced labor costs.
Roundup WeatherMAX® herbicide and Roundup PowerMAX® herbicide can be applied from planting up to 30 days prior to harvest. In addition to the wide application window, Roundup® agricultural herbicides have no carryover or crop rotation restrictions and work without soil incorporation.
Weed Competition Can Dramatically Reduce Sugarbeets Root Yield
Even a few weeds left in the field can reduce sugarbeets yield. The longer weeds remain in the field, the greater the impact. Therefore, it is vital to maintain a weed-free period after emergence to preserve yield potential.

Get Your Crops Off to Their Best Start
Weeds that emerge prior to or with sugarbeets cause the most yield losses. To limit weed competition during stand establishment, make the first application of Roundup® brand agricultural herbicides before weeds exceed two inches in height or when sugarbeets reach the 2-leaf stage (whichever comes first). Make additional herbicide applications before weeds exceed four inches in height.
Always follow label rates and application timing recommendations as part of a sound sugarbeet weed management program.
